ABOUT ME
I grew up in Vermont, lived in Seattle, Los Angeles, and Orlando. I have spent years playing music full time before taking an extended hiatus in 2005. Most recently I worked as a studio art assistant in the fine art department at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fl, as well as several years in the web design field for Ypartnership, a prestigious advertising firm in Orlando.
I am an Orlando-based musician, web designer and artist.
I have over 25 years of music and art experience, and have been building web sites for over 10 years.
WEB
With a strong skill set in front-end development, WordPress design and custom theme development, my passion is for exploring new trends in the Internet technology such as mobile optimized websites, HTML 5 and CSS3/jQuery javascript implementation.
MUSIC
My first instrument was the violin which I began at age 12. When I was 14, I abandoned the violin and picked up the electric guitar. I developed a love affair with the guitar that has lasted a lifetime. I spent several years in the early 2000′s as the lead guitar player/co-songwriter of Ruby James, a (now) solo artist based in Austin Texas who has recorded and played with the likes of Charlie Sexton and Mike Thompson of the Eagles.
ART
While I have been drawing since he a child, I began a more serious pursuit of the visual arts several years ago. Primarily self-taught, my artistic style is energetic, expressive and resides in a place somewhere between realism and abstraction. I am influenced by modern illustration as much as traditional fine art, producing work that is modern and ‘edgy’ – a kind of ‘representational expressionism’.
